World Evil and Mythological Gods Reasons to Doubt the Holy Bible?

This same question per this article’s title has been asked for 1,000s of years. The answer is actually just the opposite of what the title asks. These things should actually cause people to recognize that the spiritual does exist and is very real. However, people continue to say their atheism is based on contrary evidence to a true loving God who would not allow suffering we see prominent in this present world and that this is somehow a new reason to claim atheism. Zoom in on the word “allow” regarding God. In the biblical record it was not God but man who first allowed evil into the present world. While the biblical record somewhat simplifies the account of man choosing evil over God’s purpose for him, it is obviously a reality. Murder, family-destroying adultery, child molestation and war which kills huge numbers of people, etc…, are all evidence that man and woman chose evil for the world God created and gave them to rule over (Genesis 1:26).
Remember also the fact that Jesus Christ is called in the scriptures “the last Adam, who became a quickening Spirit” (I Corinthians 15:45). Jesus too was tempted by Satan for 40 days and nights in the wilderness but he defeated Satan’s attempts to make him fall as the first Adam did (Luke 4:1-13). Plus he was “God manifest in the flesh” (1 Timothy 3:16) but he came to earth to live as a righteous man, filled and anointed by The Holy Spirit before dying on the cross. He poured out his blood for us and was resurrected from the dead after 3 days in the tomb. Afterward, being highly glorified by God The Father as he completed the most difficult mission in all of history-past and the future to come. This provides redemption for the sin death penalty (physical and spiritual death) to others who would accept “salvation”, also called being “born again” and becoming “a new creation in Christ Jesus”.
(Luke 4:18: – Read by Jesus in the temple, him adding “today is this scripture fulfilled”.) “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed…” (Isaiah 52:14) “Just as there were many who were appalled at him — his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness–“ Usually in debate form, atheists ask follow-up questions such as “why does evil exist at all”? Basically the same answer applies – God is never the one who breaks covenant. Angels sinned in the distant past and they were cast to hell – incarcerated. God “allowed” Satan who was over the original angelic revolt, in which he was called “Lucifer” at that time and who wanted to become equal with God (most of God’s angels remained holy), to be “loosed for a little season” to tempt Adam. How can choice of love and choice of evil otherwise be tested – does God want fake devotion (hypocrisy)? He will be loosed again temporarily following Christ’s future millennial (1,000 year) reign, to tempt one final time, any remaining hold-outs to Gods will among mankind, afterward he is “cast into the lake of fire” (not the same place as hell, which will also be cast there).
After Christ’s Millennial Reign – Those tempted will not be Gods resurrected people.- – – “And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.” – Revelation 20:3. The “gods” people refer-to, in attempt to place God in the same category, may have actually been the “giants in the land” spoken of in Genesis 6, who were possessed by demon spirits or at times, even by Satan himself (likely perpetrating false miraculous signs – 2 Corinthians 11:14). The passage may imply the union between human women and fallen angels having indeed taken place, creating a race of angel-men (for lack of a better term). Regardless, their strengths were incredible as in the story of “the champion of the Philistines – Goliath” who was killed by the boy who would later become King David. He also had four giant brothers as well, all of them having 12 fingers and 12 toes each. The spear of Goliath was his main weapon of choice and was 26 ft. long, with the iron point of the spear weighing 15 to 20 pounds (described in the Old Testament as equal to six hundred shekels)!
Can any human we know of today proficiently handle a spear of this size and weight? In the original Hebrew, Goliath was stated to be 9ft, 3inches tall. In modern times Robert Waldow was 8 Foot 11inches tall (he died in 1940) and there is a living giant today named Sultan Kösen of Turkey, who stands 8 ft. 3 inches tall. These modern men simply suffered endocrine gland or genetic mutations, which may also have been the case with Old Testament giants. God destroyed the giant Goliath via a willing, young, small boy named David. They had no armor small enough to fit him, so he used a slingshot but mostly he used The Name of “The Lord of Hosts” (1 Samuel 17:48) as he RAN toward Goliath to kill him. Israelites were being murdered by the Philistines over Jewish Promised Land. They hoped to eradicate God’s chosen remnant – The Jews/Israelites. There could have just as easily also been a giant at some point who wielded a sledgehammer to destroy enemies and their camps (e.g. Thor) because giants recurred at several different points as stated in the scriptures (Genesis 6:4).
There also seems to be biblical record (read it before you think I’m taking a wild stab), in Genesis 6 of God stating that he was giving mankind a limited amount of years to change as he “strived with them”. He would then destroy man from off the face of the earth, sparing only Noah and his family (8 people). Was this flood possibly a way to eradicate mankind who was polluted by interbreeding with a different order of created beings (the Nephilim, meaning “fallen ones”), who were not meant to crossbreed? This writer is not decided on this question but I’m not ready to dismiss it either. Regardless, there were giants on earth and even the Bible states that they became “mighty men of old, men of renowned” – possibly meaning a mythological enhancement in some cases (Genesis 6:4). Noah was stated to be “pure in all his generations” and therefore spared death in the flood, via the Ark God had him and his three sons build for specific preservations (he and his family; eight including their wives, plus the animals).
Regardless, there were giants at different points and they at the least, provided great material for the development of myths among those who refused to worship the only true God who created them and to rather worship gods of myth and demonic influence. Why? Because, as it says in the first chapter of John’s Gospel “they love darkness rather than light” (choosing sin over righteousness – John 3:19). Their reasons for choice of atheism will of course never outwardly include the admittance that they are inwardly wanting to hold onto “the pleasure of sin” (Romans 6:21, Hebrews 11:25). “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
(John 3:19) “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
